Spain Eats product rating methodology

Trust

How we rate products

SpainEats Rating is our editorial score for kitchen gear and pantry goods — not an Amazon star rating, and never a stale typed price.

What SpainEats Rating means

The badge on product pages is our editorial judgment for Spanish cooking use-cases (paella pans, olive oil, etc.). It is labeled “SpainEats Rating” and links here. It is not Amazon’s aggregate score and must not be read as one.

Evaluation basis

Amazon compliance (Option A)

Amazon requires prices, ratings, and images to stay up to date. Typed prices and ratings that go stale are a termination risk. Until we have Creators API credentials (after qualifying Associates sales), we:

  • Never show Amazon price or Amazon star rating on Spain Eats pages
  • Use a “Check current price on Amazon” CTA
  • Do not hotlink/store Amazon product images for live feeds
  • Prefer our own media library heroes on product pages

What we refuse

  • Invented “#1 product” rankings without criteria
  • Copied Amazon customer review text
  • Fake hands-on claims
  • Stale on-page prices presented as current
